He has played for FC Brussels in the Belgian First Division and signed in February 2010 a loan contract with Chinese side Yanbian FC.[1]
In July 2011, Lutula was courted by Biu Chun Rangers of Hong Kong after his contract expired with FC Brussels. But his asking price of US$8,000 per month plus bonuses was considered too high for the club.[2] But in August 2011, after a series of poor results, Lutula was invited for a trial.[3] The club intended to sign him up after the trial but his transfer papers did not arrive in time for the 2011-12 Hong Kong First Division League season.[4]
